A friend of mine I haven’t seen in a while called and my first instinct was to worry that something has happened and she needs help, but thankfully she just wanted to tell me she’s divorced her abusive husband and now has more freedom to meet friends. I’m so happy she managed to make the decision even though she’s now single mother of their toddler son.
